My new job – thoughts & experiences

justPlaudern – Update, current steps

Hello everybody, long time no see – hope you’re all doing good!

First of all, I finished my Bachelor recently and already got accepted for the Master program! Apart from that we once again evolved our content on EsportFire and very actively publish videos on our YouTube channel now! The feedback and support were great so far and I’m looking forward to producing even more video content with the team. Furthermore, I also founded my very first own company for the page, which apart from a lot of paperwork, was a great experience itself! Now it’s time to get more active here again on justPlaudern.

The next step 11062022_Update_Job_Master

Apart from everything mentioned, I’m blessed to have the probably coolest and most exciting job I could have ever hoped for. I decided to apply at one, and only one, company regarding a job for the time till my Master/ also during it. I think that section of my last blog post at the beginning of April describes my first weeks the best: „That’s the first time I’m kinda excited for a job or in other words the first time I applied for a job because of pure interest.“

The team, the people, and the thoughts behind the project are simply amazing. With the goal to develop personalities, teams, and companies the focus is on the human beings and their thoughts, experiences, and personal progress. I already had the chance to speak to a wide variety of interesting people and find out new perspectives myself. It’s a continuous learning process and a work field where you always need to adapt and refind yourself. I’m very excited for the future and the people along the way with this job.

Master program & the next year11062022_Update_Job_Master

Surprisingly it was actually kinda easy to decide on what Master I want to proceed after finishing my Bachelor this semester, as there wasn’t that much to choose from in my region. Overall I still think I made the right choice and will now have to find a good balance between my full time Master program and two jobs. EsportFire became more and more work the last weeks as we try to regularly deliver new video content next to the articles, which is the right way, but also a time consuming and challenging next step.

I’m also questioning my work-life balance during my time at university more and more. While I’m convinced it was the right decision to fully hustle during the COVID time and kinda double time the last two years of my Bachelor I’m more and more thinking about the way I want to spend my time apart from learning and visiting classes. The job and also my own project brings me joy and experiences, while on the other hand I miss the freedom and lack of responsibilities a bit.

Although you don’t work on projects 24/7, if you’re mainly responsible for them there’s not a single day or probably even hour you don’t think about them. The CS:GO summer break was a great month last year as I was able to free my head from responsibilities completely, I will most likely try the same this year, lets see!

Conclusion11062022_Update_Job_Master

Overall I’m currently the happiest I have been in a long time and very grateful for all the opportunities and new experiences I’m able to gain at the moment. The only thing I would love to change/adapt are my yearly travel days which have been quite low the last years. Would love to more and more travel around Europe by train and see places I have never seen before. Also to be able to bring up some new travel blogs here on justPlaudern. The moment I enter a new city or street is the moment I feel the most joy and inspiration. Always a beautiful feeling that I would love to experience more and more. I will never forget the moment I went out of my hotel in Innsbruck and just started to laugh out of pure joy of the moment. Those are the memories that will stay forever, not projects or earnt money.

What’s your most memorable recent experience? Feel free to share it below in the comments. In general feel free to comment whatever is on your mind. Would love to hear some of your opinions and thoughts.

Cheers, Alex
